WTAPS latest drop EX.39 features 33 new items including a new set of modular military jackets, a military-style vest and shirt.
WTAPS makes a habit of revamping classic military designs and the latest drop (EX.39) from the Japanese streetwear label doesn’t disappoint.
Hot on the heels of its FW19 showcase, WTAPS has dropped a selection of apparel and accessories including three military-inspired highlights – the Modular Jacket, PAS Jacket which is actually a military style vest, Mod Jacket and the Scout LS Shirt. WTAPS Modular Jacket
WTAPS’ Modular Jacket has seen several versions in recent times and the latest iteration takes inspiration from the M-65, M-51 and M-43 Military field jackets.
The Modular Jacket features a tactical multi-pocket construction, a military palette of Olive Drab or Black versions and thick cotton construction.
The latest version comes with a whopping ten pockets for a seriously practical EDC along with heavy duty D-rings, ripstop pulls and Velcro strips.
Included in the latest drop is the PAS Jacket, a military style vest crafted from heavy duty nylon with a bulletproof protector as a motif.
The specification sees that the right side and the right shoulder are sewn together with rubber tape, and the vest can be adjusted by a Velcro strap on the left side and the left shoulder.
The upper left side also features a black Velcro strip embossed with GPS coordinates. Scout LS Shirt
The WTAPS Scout LS Shirt is a collarless shirt in cotton twill. It features a combination of a button-nap flap pocket, a fabric embroidery patch on the left chest, and a sleeve with an adjuster tab. An adjuster strap is featured on the back waist. Mod Jacket
Rounding out the military-inspired items in the EX.39 drop is the Mod Jacket a ripstop Overcoat which is both water repellent and windproof.
The Mod Jacket has a cocoon silhouette with a hood attached to the spacious body and a hem around the bottom.
It features a double zip and button closure flaps, with a flap pocket on the back and embroidered logo “(W) taps” on left chest. To see more from the EX.39 drop head over to WTAPS.
