Stone Island has given a glimpse of its upcoming FW ’019 ’020 featuring a range of comfortable and protective garments in military-esque drab tones.
The FW ’019 ’020 collection is Stone Islands take on “expressions of luxury” - a collection featuring a sophisticated slightly uniform aesthetic.
The color palette is described as “dark and deep tones blend with the light colors of the earth “.
This is a collection focused on “finding functional areas in common for protection and comfort”.
An example of this is found in the outer layers designed to protect the fabric inside with enveloping, warm and comfortable materials.
Stone Island are known for their innovative dyeing treatments and methods.
The latest collection is no different with several garments treated with Stone Island’s exclusive ‘OLD’ effect.
This process and subsequent fading create a slightly worn look and “a three-dimensional effect” on the fabric.

117WN ‘Old’ Dye Treatment
An over shirt in brushed cotton canvas. The garment has been dyed with Stone Island’s exclusive ‘OLD’ effect dyeing treatment.
The 117WN features a standing collar, with drawstring on the upper edge and half zip fastening and inner bellows.
Two bellows chest pockets for your essentials with flap and hidden snaps fastening.
Welt hand pockets and ribbed cotton cuffs complete the shirt.
Garment-Dyed Crinkle Reps NY Down
This hooded down jacket in lightweight nylon reps features an ultra-tight weaving construction.
Resin coating on inside makes it wind resistant and also partly water resistant. The fabric has a slightly crinkled appearance on the surface achieved through the dye bath and uneven penetration.
The hooded down jacket is padded with the finest feathers, optimized for garment dyeing.
A lambswool sweater with raised ribbed collar, hidden half zip and four buttons fastening placket with felt backing.
On front, armholes defined by parallel ribs. Ribbed shoulder cuffs and bottom hem complete the piece.
