maharishi drops technical fall Lookbook shot in Kyoto

Military-inspired British streetwear brand, Maharishi has presented its technical AW19 Lookbook shot on location in Kyoto, Japan by Alastair Strong.

Maharishi’s latest Fall technical collection incorporates the brands ethos of respect for nature while utilising the latest technology and fabrics.

Maharishi is known for its organic cottons and the latest drop features similarly eco-sensitive materials like weather-resistant Japanese Nylon woven by Komatsu and dyed using vegetables rather than harmful chemicals.

The military aesthetic is never far from the British label’s designs and materials.

One military-inspired highlight is the Tech Camo Reversible T-Shirt featuring a camouflage based on Cuba’s Elm Leaf pattern but featuring Chacruna leaves, the basis for the psychedelic, DMT.

A premium take on what was originally a military fabric makes an appearance in Cotton Nylon Ripstop, dressed with an iridescent tie-dye effect and high-tech water-resistant properties.

Attention to detail is evident such as 3M reflective branding for visibility in low lighting conditions, waterproof seam sealing, and security zipped pockets with water-repellent, sealed closures.
